SP-SSA International Terminal (SSIT) is a strategic deep-sea port located in Cai Mep – Thi Vai area, Ba Ria – Vung Tau province, now Ho Chi Minh City. SSIT is a joint venture established in 2006 between Vietnamese partners as Vietnam Maritime Corporation (VIMC), Sai Gon port as well as SSA Marine (USA).
SSIT was built for container operations and features the latest state-of-the-art box handling equipment including the largest STS gantry cranes in Vietnam. The terminal is able to handle a diverse commodity range spanning project cargo/heavy lifts, steel, fertilizer a well as agricultural products such as wheat, soybeans, corn.
SSIT is operating around the clock. This modern deep-water facility offers shipping companies and their clients a highly effective gateway to and from the South of Vietnam.
